To get an insight into Nuala and Don’s work, you can read some testimonials from clients who have experienced a range of their services and wanted to share their story:
It is the start of June now and the hay fever season for me should be well and truly over. So I can now tell you how I got on this year. Letter to BBC – Last night I mentioned I had had a moderate to severe headache all day, and you offered to ‘tap’ on it. Nuala is absolutely wonderful instructing feft !!! What Nuala White does with exceptional precision, passion & purpose is ask the tough questions, the ones you may have been avoiding! This causes you to take a hard look at what is in front of you, how you present yourself and how effective you are at achieving what you want. Nuala White helps you consider perceived failures and use them for positive growth. For me she was able to show me how the ‘written me’ on my CV did not match the ‘written me of my writing’ or the ‘physical me’ standing in front of her. She asked me questions and gave plenty to consider than enabled and empowered me to make the necessary changes to succeed and thrive. Without doubt I not only recommend Nuala White, I HIGHLY recommend her. Her expertise and empathetic and compassionate use of her skills allowed me to open up a new world of possibilities. Following a string of unsuccessful job interviews, I approached Nuala for help preparing for my next interview. Such were the resultant improvements to my both preparation and interview technique, that I not only got the job but was commended by the company for the high quality of my interview performance. I cannot thank Nuala enough for the skillful way in which she helped me to turn my interview technique around. Her assistance was more than worth every penny! About a year ago my activities were considerably curtailed for six months or so as a result of a “silly” fall. I am in my eighties and was told that it was probably caused by the loss of sense of balance as one gets older. I wasn’t prepared to accept such a defeatist attitude and signed up with Don White for a course of Alexander Technique instruction. It is taking many months to alter the postural habits of a lifetime but I am beginning to enjoy more control than I have ever had over my freedom of movement and comfortable balance. The teaching has also made me aware of the neatest and easiest way of carrying out all the everyday movements of life such as sitting, standing, walking or lifting. In answer to the question “What can you expect at your age?” I would say that by studying the Alexander Technique I can expect to feel wonderful, better than ever before in my life. I only wish I had had that salutory fall seventy years ago.
Well when I could feel my eyes getting itchy and my nose running or sneezing I used the techniques we discussed in our session. As a result the itching and sneezing soon stopped. What was also pleasing was the fact that I read this year was going to be really bad because of the cold spring and the lateness of the pollen being released and the trees would it all out all at once. However I hardly suffered at all, barely a few days and as I said before I used the techniques and the suffering went away.
Therefore I can say it has been a resounding success and this spring has been one which I have actually enjoyed and not had to suffer through.
So all I can say is a great big thank you Nuala for helping me get through this spring and many more to come.
Also in terms of psychologists / counsellors to work with young people / families for your programme. May I recommend a woman called Nuala White – she is highly qualified and experienced but has two things that make her very effective with solutions for teens. One is that she knows about and understands the possible disability side of things (so many young people having difficulities have undiagnosed disabilities) and two, she has a fantastic new tool (more common in suicide prevention in USA) that is proven to work and does not require teens (or parents) to talk a lot to cope, let go and manage. Its called Faster EFT and she is a trainedpractitioner. We recently won funding to work with her to make a You Tube video to make the skill accessible to teens. (Feb / Mar) Its like acupuncture, but for emotions – and it just involves tapping with a finger on certain points to release and let go. It may sound a bit strange – but I know that it works and its perfect for teens who so often have not got the skills, to talk /communicate when they are angry or down. They can take ownership of a solution. Nuala has a broad range of skills and is a brilliant counsellor also. She could help make a big positive impact – the skill is easy to learn and you dont have to believe in the ‘how it works’ for it to work.
We know from experience that many families / young people need quicker fixes and things they can use themselves when there is no professional available / long waiting lists, / teens who wont attend, to them and will work no matter what the issue – thankfully now this has developed in NI and we are working to make it available to teens.
I have cc’ed Nuala into this so you can get in touch with her if you wish.
Regards
Reluctantly I agreed, being tired and ready to take a (rare) paracetamol. Just tapping along in itself was quite painful, so I went half-heartedly at it. Quite soon to my surprise the pain reduced considerably, but did not go away. I was then asked to try to bring it back as strong as I could. Sure enough back it came with a vengeance, up to 8 out of 10. Not feeling at all good I worked on with Nuala, and within a couple of minutes I was freed, and able to get to sleep with no problem, waking up still completely clear.
Thankyou
I was very, very lucky to have had two sessions with her last year and I found
– Nuala very clear and at the same time very understanding, sensitive and loving
– the tapping easy to do and the instructions clear and easy to follow
– Nuala has a great sense of where to go next and what could I need on the way
– the method is good, but:
– Nuala makes it even better – I can imagine I would have found it difficult with somebody else
– I could trust her entirely, I felt absolutely safe, I felt my personal matters were in very good hands
– Nuala’s attention was 100% with me, when I was faltering, she gave me all the time I needed, she created this big space for me
– I found individual steps and certain methods or findings very pragmatic and am still referring to them
– I liked working on just one subject matter and repeatedly going back to it, until it was really “done”.
the only bad thing is: I don’t want to do tapping with anybody else now :))
Dear Nuala, many thanks still and I wish for you that your path with tapping is going to be a wide and copius one
I truly feel that you have found “your thing” here
best of luck for the Webinar
I would gladly attend as well :))
